In this class you will explore colour blending in Fair Isle knitting using inspiration from Unst’s natural landscape. Participants will blend chosen colours to produce a pattern, first on graph paper and then as a knitted sample. You will take home a portfolio of colourway boards of ideas and a Fair Isle sample designed and knitted by yourself. Mary Robertson, a lifelong knitter of Fair Isle in the tradition of Unst knitters, and an expert on colour blending is your teacher for this fascinating class.
