This introductory course will show you how easy it is to knit lace and how you can create beautiful knitwear for all occasions. You will learn how to knit in 1-ply lace weight on large needles to produce an ethereal effect and how traditional lace patterns can be applied to different Shetland wools using different sized needles to produce an eclectic mix of knitwear. Learn the art of lace knitting using differing weights of Shetland Organics wool. Students will be introduced to different lace patterns, adjusting tension, choosing the right pattern and advice on finishing and dressing your garment.

Skills required:
