Emma loves to circular weave, it’s a great way to start weaving without having to buy a traditional loom, making it open to everyone.

In this class you will learn how to make you circular loom from an embroidery hoop, how to warp up as well as a number of unusual and traditional weaving/tapestry techniques to create unique circular woven designs, which can be displayed in your home on a wall or as coasters and table mats.

Please note the venue is at the top of steep, narrow stairs. There is no lift.

Materials: All material will be supplied, including your new circular loom, which you can take away with you.

Skills: No weaving experience required

There will also be an opportunity for you to buy refreshments from The String’s extensive menu (to keep you going).

About Emma: With over 10 years plus experience and an extensive teaching background, Emma graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2006 and shortly after started her own textile studio Aamos Designs, where she is inspired to create contemporary textiles using traditional woven structures in a new and exciting way.
