Learn to knit a Fair Isle crown using a crown chart.
You will have the chance to look at example crowns and charts, knit from these or design your own, and decrease to form a rounded crown commonly found on Shetland caps, berets and bonnets. We will also discuss how to incorporate colourwork in your crown.

Please note the homework requested as this will help you make best use of your three hour class.

Materials: Yarn will be supplied. Please bring 3mm DPNs or 80cm long circulars and one darning needle.

Homework: Using 2ply/jumper weight, cast on 120 stitches, join to knit in the round and knit 2 plain rows.

Skills: must be able to knit in the round using two colours.
