Create your own miniature Shetland Sheep. Starting with a wire frame, you will build up your sheep with yarn wrapping and needle felting using Shetland wool. Using the unique venue of the Shetland Rural Centre (Livestock market) you will have the opportunity to get up close to study and sketch native Shetland sheep breeds. Shetland sheep sales will be taking place in the venue during the day and there is a cafe on site.

Materials: All materials, tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

Transport: The venue is on the outskirts of Lerwick but within a walking distance of about 20 minutes from the Shetland Museum. There is a bus route which stops near by or taxis from the town centre are not expensive. There is parking at the venue although it might be busy because of the livestock sales. Please contact the tutors if you have any transport issues.
