In this class you will knit in the round a small piece of work in two colours – part pattern and part steek. The steek will be cut and neatened in the traditional Shetland method. Other types of finishing will be shown.

Materials: Yarn will be supplied, but please being 3 x size 3mm and 3 x 3.25mm needles, scissors and tapestry needle (blunt end).

Homework: Cast on 40 stitches and knit in 4 rows single rib flat on size 3.00mm needles in 2 ply Shetland wool or 4 ply. Do not cast off.

Skill level: Students should be able to knit stranded (two colours maximum) in the round.
