This tour will take you throughout Bressay with guide Douglas Coutts.
Douglas, a native Shetlander, is famed for his role in discovering the St. Ninian’s Isle Treasure, which now resides at the National Museum of Scotland. The Isle of Bressay is one of the most unique places in Shetland. Just a short ten minute ferry ride takes you from the busy centre of Lerwick to an island filled with wildlife, archaeology, lochs and history. You will find in particular seabird cliffs, quiet bays, hill and coastal walks, lots of freshwater lochs and a profusion of archaeological and historical sites. You will visit a croft which includes native Shetland sheep.

We will also visit the local cafe for lunch. Please inform us of any specific dietary requirements.

Transport: This tour includes all transport from Lerwick, including a 10 minute ferry trip across to the island of Bressay. Please arrive at the Ferry Terminal in Lerwick Town Centre 15 minutes prior to the departure of the 11am ferry, to allow sufficient time for ticketing and registration. Travel around Bressay will be by coach, and you will return on the 3pm ferry from Bressay.
