The official 2020 Shetland Wool Week knitting pattern ‘Katie’s Kep’ has been exclusively designed by Wool Week Patron Wilma Malcolmson.
Knit the hat in any of the suggested colour variations, or come up with your own colour scheme. A special Katie’s Kep Knit-A-Long group has been created on facebook this year and we’d love everyone to join in and share their hat works in progress, questions and photos.
To receive the pattern all you need to do is click the link below, and remember to share your pictures using #katieskep #katieskepknitalong or #shetlandwoolweek2020; we can’t wait to see your creations.
An important message from the Shetland Wool Week team
As always, there is no charge for our annual hat pattern, which is free to download. You will also be able to order a printed copy from our online shop from Friday 27 March.
We are asking this year if you might be willing to make a voluntary donation in support of the event. Shetland Wool Week is run by a small charity, the Shetland Amenity Trust, and like so many others we are facing challenging and uncertain times. We have already invested a huge amount of time and money in preparing for the 2020 event – work which began in August of last year. Any support – large or small – is gratefully received and will help us to secure the future of an event which is so important to Shetland and its visitors..
