Shetland Wool Week Membership is Coming!
Shetland Wool Week Membership for 2025 will be available to buy from Thursday 12th June at 14:00 BST.
As we count down to SWW 2025, we’re inviting our amazing community of supporters and attendees to join us through our annual SWW Membership. This is your chance to be part of the festival on a deeper level, enjoy some exclusive benefits, and help support the long-term future of Shetland’s textile heritage.
Why become a member?
Your membership helps us deliver a vibrant and meaningful programme – and we’ve designed this year’s packages to give you more value and connection to the festival with a focus on experience rather than “stuff”.
We’re offering three membership tiers for 2025:
- In Person Membership – £45 (Limited availability)
- Virtual Membership – £30
- Supporter Membership – £6
In Person Membership – £45 (Limited availability)
Perfect for those attending SWW in Shetland.
Includes:
- Ticket to the Opening Ceremony (Sunday 28 September, evening)
- Print of the official group hat photo
- Early access to the programme PDF (at least one week before tickets go on sale on 9 July) so you can plan your itineraries
- Entry to our exclusive prize draw (prizes listed below)
- Exclusive Aal Ower Toorie enamel pin (collect at the SWW Hub)
- Various discounts off yarn and patterns at Jamieson & Smith, Uradale Yarns & Jamiesons of Shetland during the month of August
- Access to a series of ‘Shetland Ways’ films which will be released during the event
Virtual Membership – £30
If you’re unable to be with us in person – this is the next best thing.
Includes:
- Live-stream access to the Opening Ceremony (Sunday 28 September, evening)
- Early access to the programme PDF (at least one week before tickets go on sale on 9 July) so you can plan your itineraries
- Entry to our exclusive prize draw (prizes listed below)
- Various discounts off yarn and patterns at Jamieson & Smith, Uradale Yarns & Jamiesons of Shetland during the month of August
- Access to a series of ‘Shetland Ways’ films which will be released during the event
Note: If you’ve missed out on the In Person Membership, but are attending SWW and hold a virtual membership, you can buy the enamel pin at the Hub with proof of membership.
Supporter Membership – £6

- Early access to the programme (at least one week before tickets go on sale)
- Entry to our exclusive prize draw (prizes listed below)

PRIZE DRAW
All SWW members and supporters will be entered into our exclusive prize draw and are in with a chance of winning one of our fantastic competition prizes:
- Your guaranteed choice of one ticket to any of the core SWW classes up to the value of £60 (choice to be made before event tickets go live for public sale)
- Two tickets to the Patrons Talk (in person or virtual) on Monday 29 September, evening
- SWW goodies bundle – including the 2025 SWW Annual plus a full range of merchandise produced for the event (this can be collected during the event or will be posted to you once available in September)
- Your choice of an Aal Ower Toorie hat kit in one of the official colourways

- SWW Memberships will go on sale on Thursday 12th June at 14:00 BST
- Memberships are annual (not rolling subscriptions)
- Tickets go on sale: Wednesday 9 July at 14:00 BST
- Membership is available to all countries including customers in the EU/EAA
- You don’t need to be a member to attend SWW, but membership gives you a head start
- Our popular SWW Annual will be available for pre-order from early September (not included in membership)
- A small range of SWW merchandise will be available during the festival
